SUVs Top Best Labor Day Deals

When a customer comes on to a dealer’s lot looking for a new car, more often than not his or her top concern is finding the best deal possible.
For some customers, leasing might fit better into their budget, while others may not settle for less than a flat out new-car purchase.
Either way, TrueCar.com revealed Thursday their picks for the best deals for the best deals for new cars and leases as dealers gear up for Labor Day weekend.
Topping the list for new-car deals is the Nissan Quest SV, with 15.1 percent savings off MSRP, according to the site.
In its latest “Steals on Wheels” report, the site shared that recent data shows consumers saved an average of $4,628 off the 2012 Nissan Quest SV (MSRP 30,585), which has a market average transaction price of $25,957.
Next up for new cars was the 2013 Ford Expedition XLT (MSRP $41,600), as the company reported consumers saved an average of $6,170.
Jesse Toprak, senior analyst for TrueCar.com, shared some info that might encourage dealers to market some of their bigger rides as the summer season comes to an end.
Toprak said, “If you are in the market for a new family vehicle with lots of room for everyone, you’re in luck: all top 10 vehicles with biggest discounts this month are either minivans or large/luxury SUVs.”

TrueCar.com also shared some stats on the best deals for leasing and finance.
For leasing, up first is the Honda Odyssey, at $299 per month for 36 months with $2,999 down. This deal is set at 12,000 miles per year.
