Auto Remarketing and Cherokee Media Group have announced the addition of the Independent Automobile Dealers Association of California and the Washington State Independent Auto Dealers Association as partners for the Used Car Week conference, set for Nov. 16-19 in San Diego.
UCW brings together leaders from across the used-vehicle ecosystem for education, collaboration, networking, and forward-looking conversations.
The event connects dealers, lenders, consignors, auctions, repossession professionals, technology providers, investors, and other industry stakeholders.
And that includes connecting industry stakeholders — like independent and franchise auto dealers — for important, dealer-led discussions on the used-car retail market.
“The used-car industry cannot flourish without prosperous dealerships,” Cherokee Media Group president and Used Car Week chair Bill Zadeits said. “Collaboration with organizations such as IADAC and WSIADA is what makes Used Car Week unique and gives dealership principals and managers the opportunity to mingle with other operators and industry experts, so attendees can leave the event with the automotive intelligence necessary to maintain profitability and long-term success.”
As part of this partnership, IADAC and WSIADA member dealers will be able to attend Used Car Week for free. Additionally, leaders from the two dealer organizations will host an educational session as part of Dealer Training Tuesday at UCW in addition to their participation through other avenues at the event.

Used Car Week is teaming up with these dealer associations to bring its programming and resources directly to dealers and better support the dealer community.
“This partnership creates something especially valuable by bringing dealers from two of the most highly regulated states in the country together,” WSIADA executive director Jessi Roberts said. “Washington and California dealers face many of the same pressures and Used Car Week gives us a national platform to connect around issues affecting dealers across the West Coast.
“What an incredible opportunity for our dealers to take part in the conversations shaping the used vehicle industry, build meaningful relationships, discover new resources, and strengthen their voice within the industry,” Roberts added.

The partnership with the California and Washington independent dealer associations continues a series of dealer-related partnerships at Auto Remarketing and Cherokee Media Group.
In April, Auto Remarketing and Cherokee Media Group conducted a highly successful partnership with the Florida Independent Automobile Dealers Association as part of the inaugural Used Car Industry Summit in Miami.
The partnership added greater visibility and voice for independent dealers in Florida, while adding another dimension to the event’s programming and subject matter expertise.
And last week, CBT News and Cherokee Media Group announced a new media and content partnership surrounding Used Car Week in November.
The partnership brings together one of the automotive industry’s leading used-vehicle events with CBT News’ dealer-focused media platform to expand coverage and extend the conversations taking place at Used Car Week to a broader audience of automotive professionals.
As part of the partnership, CBT News will provide cross-promotional support for Used Car Week, conduct exclusive interviews with dealers, executives, speakers and industry leaders, and bring its CBT Live broadcast to the event. CBT News will also co-host or moderate a panel session during Used Car Week, providing its dealer-focused perspective on the issues shaping the used-vehicle business.
