CARY, N.C. -

The next free Auto Remarking Training Series webinar will feature top trainers from Carfax and FirstLook in a session geared for managers who want to get the most out of their used-car inventory.

The session will include DJ Sherwood, process improvement manager at Carfax, as well as Steve Miner, director of product marketing at FirstLook. The webinar is scheduled for next Tuesday at 2 p.m. ET.

In this webinar, Sherwood plans to summarize Carfax findings to help dealers decipher the mind of the consumer who is considering the purchase of a vehicle with damage in its history.

“We will share statistics on damage severity, how you should customize your approach to the consumer and when to address the information during the sales process,” Sherwood said. “You will also learn some best practices and how to use the tools incorporated into the Carfax Vehicle History Report to guide you through these conversations.

Sherwood also outlined a trio of learning objectives stemming from the ARTS webinar, including:

—Increase your level of comfort in presenting a vehicle previously involved in a damage event.

—Determine how damage impacts a vehicle’s marketability and quickly identify the characteristics that do not detract from its value.

—Maximize the tools incorporated in the Carfax Vehicle History Report to explain how that vehicle’s unique history impacts the cost.

Meanwhile, Miner titled his presentation, “Retail Performance Management: The 4 Keys that Separate The ‘Best of the Best.’”

Miner said, “In working with some of the most sophisticated automotive retailers in the nation, FirstLook Systems has identified innovative retailing practices, and since embedded these methodoligies into their retail performance management software."

During his presentation, Miner intends to present four of these cutting-edge practices that are used by the “Best of the Best” to maximize both gross and turn.
