Automotive BDC software provider Volie has become the latest industry vendor to join FordDirect’s The Shop.

The Shop, launched in January, is an e-commerce platform created by FordDirect — a joint venture between Ford and Lincoln dealers and Ford Motor Company — to offer dealers access to vetted vendors with pre-negotiated prices for products and services.

Volie said its software is designed to provide access to real-time metrics to manage BDC agents with several tools, including:

Communication Manager: Uses Volie’s smart dialer to “erase” downtime between calls and increases agents’ productivity and efficiency.

Campaign Manager: prioritizes communications of each customer based on campaign priority and customer history.

Data Manager: Manages dealership data to drive better contact rates and convert leads.

FordDirect said The Shop is designed to create more efficiencies and cost savings so dealerships can focus on core activities.

“Volie will now help Ford dealers and Lincoln retailers spend more time doing what they do best while also supporting FordDirect’s mission as a trusted partner and resource to find the best vendors in the market for all of their needs,” FordDirect CEO Dean Stoneley said.
