FRANKLIN, Tenn. — Two ServNet auctions have been singled out as leaders for national consignors in recent awards programs.

At a recent award presentation, Carolina Auto Auction was named the country's top performer for CitiFinancial Auto, taking home its 2009 Auction of the Year Award.

Meanwhile, Brasher's Northwest Auto Auction in Eugene, Ore., was named Auction of the Year in the Northwest region for Capital One Auto Finance.

At its annual planning meeting in Denver, Colo., in February, CitiFinancial Auto recognized Carolina AA with the top title.

Layne Weber, vice president of remarketing for CitiFinancial, presented the award to auction owners Henry and Patty Stanley, general manager Tommy Rogers and national remarketing manager Sal Terranova.

"Being an independent auction we are able to make quick responses to the ever-changing auction environment. Every auction functions in a similar way — as a holding lot for vehicles," said Rogers. "It is our effectiveness in offering exceptional service and letting the dealer know that he matters that has allowed us to attain the successes we have known and continue to strive for as we move forward."

A multiple-award winner, Carolina AA enjoys the distinction of having placed No. 1 with both RSA and BB&T for the last four years in a row. The auction was also named the regional leader in 2007 and 2008 for Wheels Inc., and surpassed other auctions in the nation for Triad Financial in 2007, officials highlighted.

"ServNet auctions continue to distinguish themselves as leaders in the auction industry," noted Pierre Pons, ServNet chief executive officer. "The list of awards received by ServNet auctions grows every year, proving that ServNet auctions outshine the competition year-after-year, providing superior service, connecting buyers and sellers, and meeting the challenges of the marketplace with an unwavering commitment to their customers."

As for Capital One Auto Finance, it presented its annual auction awards in Dallas earlier this year. Present to receive the award from Brasher's Northwest AA were Lisa Larkin, general manager; Mark Melton, general sales manager; and Jodi Rowland, fleet/lease manager.

Brasher's Northwest AA holds a monthly sale for Capital One in conjunction with its Wednesday consignment sale. Larkin noted that this year's designation as a regional winner for Capital One is a repeat performance. The auction was also recognized for the Northwest region in 2006, as well.

"To receive an award like this a second time is an extra thrill for all of us at Brasher's Northwest Auto Auction," said Larkin. "We all work very hard to perform at a consistently high level for our customers; always on the lookout for new and improved ways to facilitate the auction process. Receiving an award like this for a second time is an indication that our efforts are not only noticed, but result in success for our customers on the auction block."
