ServNet Expands Beyond Lower 48 States
FRANKLIN, Tenn. — ServNet brought another independent auction into its fold Tuesday, raising the total amount to 23 while broadening its footprint beyond the 48 contiguous states.
ServNet chief executive officer Pierre Pons revealed the newest addition is Dealers Auto Auction of Alaska.
Steve Sautner established DAA of Alaska in 1997. Then in 2005, Sautner merged his operation with Kodiak Auto Auction, combining the two to establish the current 15-acre facility located in the heart of mid-town Anchorage, what ServNet pointed out is Alaska's largest city and the state's business and banking hub.
The facility runs about 200 vehicles weekly via two auction lanes.
Customers from Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau and beyond attend weekly consignment sales at DAA of Alaska on Wednesdays at 11 a.m. In addition to vehicles from local dealers and financial institutions, DAA of Alaska also handles national remarketing accounts for clients such as GMAC, Ford Motor Credit, Chrysler Financial, Wells Fargo, Wheels and Santander USA.
Sautner mentioned the auction facility provides in-house detail and reconditioning services, transport services and title service.
"We have immense respect for the ServNet auction owners and are proud to bring the ServNet brand to Alaska," Sautner stressed.
"We are certain that being identified as a ServNet auction will help us in strengthen our connections with national remarketers, and we look forward to working with ServNet's executive staff and owners to make ServNet as well known in Alaska as it is in the rest of the country," he added.
Pons described what DAA of Alaska brings to ServNet.
"As Alaska's first dealer wholesale auction, DAA of Alaska stands as a pioneer of the industry in its part of the country," Pons declared.
"Owner and general manager Steve Sautner was not only the first to open an auction to serve dealers and financial customers in Alaska, but remains the primary point of contact for remarketers in a state that is larger than most regional territories in the lower 48," Pons continued.
"Steve's dedication to his customers, both dealer and institutional alike, have marked DAA of Alaska as one of the premiere auctions in the country," Pons went on to say.
ServNet president Jeff Brasher also shared his take.
"DAA of Alaska has earned a national reputation for obtaining some of the highest returns in the country, paired with providing a superior level of customer service in spite of brutal weather conditions and incredibly challenging transportation situations," Brasher emphasized.
"The ServNet owners have long admired Steve's operation and are pleased to welcome DAA of Alaska as a ServNet member auction," Brasher continued. "Steve and his wife Kimberley exhibit the entrepreneurial, family run operation that is a hallmark of ServNet auctions."
ServNet has been building on its network of independently owned wholesale auto auctions since 1988.
