After an initial focus on electric vehicles, Autonomy said Wednesday it is adding gas-powered vehicles to its car subscription platform, starting with a range of Ford models.

Those include the gas-powered Mustang, Ranger, F-150, Bronco Sport, Escape and Explorer.

Los Angeles-based dealer Galpin Motors provided vehicles for this first phase of gas-powered cars on the Autonomy platform. Those vehicles are now available in California.

Autonomy, which also operates in Arizona, Florida, Texas, New York, North Carolina and Washington, plans to partner with other dealerships throughout the country to expand its internal combustion engine options.

Autonomy called the addition of gas vehicles “an important evolution” of its platform, which is says now gives customers greater selection.

“Autonomy is about giving people the freedom and flexibility to access the right vehicle for their needs, without requiring a traditional long-term lease or ownership,” Autonomy CEO Fred Weick said in a news release.

“Our customers are telling us they want more choice and expanding the lineup enables us to serve a broader range of drivers,” Weick said. “While EVs remain a key part of our business, adding gas-powered vehicles gives customers more options to choose what works best for their lifestyle and needs.”
