BizzyCar, a recall management platform for dealerships, announced last week that Simon Smith has joined the company as chief revenue officer.

BizzyCar built its position by helping dealerships and OEMs close open recalls through two-way text messaging powered by its proprietary artificial intelligence agent. Smith arrived as the company is now expanding beyond recalls and into mobile service and fleets.

As demand for the platform grows, BizzyCar added this seasoned revenue leader to put it in front of more of the industry. Smith’s role is to increase the number of dealers and OEMs that put BizzyCar to work.

Smith arrives with nearly three decades of business experience, from frontline sales to executive leadership. His career includes time at AutoNation, CarsDirect.com, TrueCar, and Internet Brands, and he has worked in venture-backed startups and public companies, including through IPO processes.

“Simon has built and led revenue teams in the hundreds, run businesses up to $400M in ARR, delivered 98% logo retention, and pioneered outcome-based pricing. He knows dealers, he knows OEMs, and he knows how to scale,” BizzyCar CEO Ryan Maher said.
