CDK Global named Eric Guerin to the post of executive vice president and chief financial officer.
Guerin will join the company on Jan. 18, and CDK said that with Guerin’s appointment, Joe Tautges will be able to complete his transition to chief operating officer early next year.
Set to be based in the company’s Hoffman Estates, Ill., office, Guerin will be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial strategy, growth opportunities, and performance. He will work to see that pursuit of the strategy, opportunities and performance take place efficiently, profitably, and with minimal risks.
He most recently served as division vice president and sector chief financial officer, Corning Glass Technologies, for Corning Inc.
Guerin has held various leadership roles throughout his career. One of those posts was vice president, finance and chief financial officer, aftermarket services and solutions at Flowserve Corp.
He also served as vice president, finance, global R&D, Alcon Division, for Novartis. Another previous position was as finance director, WWR&D and new business development, Ethicon, at Johnson & Johnson.
CDK president and chief executive officer Brian Krzanich said the company looks forward to Guerin using his more than 20 years of finance experience from strong, publicly-traded companies to help the company strengthen its balance sheet and accelerate its business growth.
“As we welcome Eric, I want to thank Joe for his tremendous contributions as CFO and look forward to him continuing to play a critical role as COO as we build on our momentum and transform the way the industry connects,” Krzanich said in a news release.
Guerin said he was happy to join CDK Global during a time when it is investing in its growth.
Guerin said, “I look forward to helping CDK execute on its strategy to provide innovative solutions to automotive retailers and OEMs that allow them to connect better, manage, analyze and grow their business, as well as enhance value for shareholders.”
