Insurance Auto Auctions this week announced its launch of a new app for iPhone, which can now be downloaded free of charge through the Apple App Store.

The new app, titled CarKeyword, includes search data features to track key words and help customers make buy-or-sell decisions, the company said. Optimized for iPhone 5, CarKeyword is offered in English, Spanish, Polish and Arabic.

IAA said it designed the CarKeyword app to help customers anticipate increases in auction prices and use keyword search terms to track automotive trends.

The information is localized for users. Additional capabilities and features of the app include:

  • A Popular tab, allowing users to scroll through the top 300 keywords by volume;
  • A Countries tab, to search for the most popular and trending keyword search terms exclusively from users of IAA’s auction website;
  • A Rising tab, to view the 300 fastest increasing keywords over time; and
  • Keyword buttons, to view a graph of each keyword’s rank by volume over time.

“We continue to expand in geographic markets and enhance our abilities to meet our customers’ growing needs, and our new app allows multilingual users to make informed and knowledgeable decisions in the auction buyer/seller process,” said Tom O’Brien, chief executive officer at IAA.
