Make an Offer: New Service Can Boost Dealers’ Used Inventory

Dealers looking to obtain higher quality used-car inventory could benefit from a new product announced this week by auto website MaxTradeIn.
The new service allows participating dealerships to make “nearly-instant” offers for consumer trade-ins, rather than just estimates, the company said.
Called MaxTradeIn DealerDirect, the service asks consumers visiting a dealership’s website to enter their Vehicle Identification Number and a few details about their used car in order to receive the offer directly from that dealer.
“MaxTradeIn DealerDirect not only gives consumers an easy way to receive the dealer’s offer, but also helps car dealers find and connect with potential customers who are doing research on their site to find the best value,” said Justin Bates, co-founder and chief executive officer of MaxTradeIn.
Dealerships pay a subscription fee to have MaxTradeIn DealerDirect integrated into their existing website, and can benefit from opportunities, increased appointments, quality used inventory at reduced acquisition cost, and improved customer satisfaction, the company said.
