If you’re anything like the author of this news recap, you likely put on blue light or reading glasses to read this story.
Why? Glasses makes the task easier.
And TruVideo is doing something similar with automotive technicians.
The company, which provides artificial intelligence video communication technology for the transportation industry, said Monday that its platform is now compatible with AI glasses from Meta.
Doing so can allow technicians to inspect, verify and log any service needed directly through voice command, which can help them save time and prevent mistakes.
TruVideo customers have already been using Meta’s AI glasses in the field, but the company said technicians can now start and stop video recording through voice commands.

“We’ve been working closely with the Meta AI glasses team for the past few months,” TruVideo co-founder and chief technology officer Douglas Chrystall said in a news release.
“The technology wasn’t ready out of the box for the technician and sales workflows we run in automotive, so we’ve been building it to fit how dealerships actually run.”
With TruVideo having been integrated with DMS platforms at auto and commercial truck dealerships, the transcription from the Meta glasses seamlessly drops into a store’s existing processes and workflow.
“Making this work on a busy service drive takes more than putting a camera on someone’s face,” Chrystall said. “We built compatibility with AI glasses from Meta into the same workflows technicians already run in their dealership systems, so there’s nothing new to learn and the video flows straight to where the work happens. That foundation is what lets us go further.”
TruVideo co-founder and CEO Joe Shaker added: “Service techs shouldn’t have to choose between doing the job and documenting it. Being compatible with Meta’s AI glasses lets our customers put recording in the flow of service, voice start and stop, both hands free, and create the kind of transparent customer experience dealerships need.”
