Total Resource Auctions Ushers in Newest Texas Facility
ATLANTA — Ongoing construction didn't prevent Total Resource Auctions from starting up business at its newest Texas location recently. The network of wholesale salvage auctions has grown to 74 with the addition of Total Resource Auctions Dallas located in Wilmer, Texas.
The location is being built on 71 acres with the intention of featuring 26,000 total square feet, making it the company's largest and newest standalone facility. Executives highlighted it will incorporate 12,000 square feet of office space. Then when fully completed later this summer, they mentioned the location will have two simulcast sale lanes and a wash bay that can hold up to 30 vehicles.
To celebrate, Total Resource Auctions Dallas conducted its first sale on June 3. Officials noted the event drew more than 120 in-lane and online customers as 134 of 149 vehicles sold.
The company indicated a formal grand opening is planned for later this summer upon completion of all construction.
Total Resource Auctions Dallas indicated in-lane and online sales are scheduled for every Thursday at 9:30 a.m. Management mentioned the sales will feature a diverse selection of insurance total-loss vehicles, motorcycles and heavy equipment.
"As the needs of our insurance customers continue to grow, we want to offer them the right type of facilities and support," stated Jamie Porter, president of TRA.
"With the addition of our second Dallas location, we can offer more sales, increased flexibility and added customer conveniences — and enough space for even the highest-volume sellers and buyers to stretch out," Porter added.
Beyond that objective, TRA highlighted some other unique initiatives associated with its newest location.
Officials noted it was designed to conserve vital environmental resources. Recycled concrete was used on half of the 46 acres of surface that was developed. In addition, the facility plans to use an advanced geothermal heating and cooling system and reuse 90 percent of the water from its wash bays.
