CARMEL, Ind. -

ADESA named a new general manager for ADESA Nashville on Monday, appointing the longtime leader of ADESA Memphis to the role.

Dan Dietsch, the GM at ADESA Memphis since 2007, moves over to the company’s Nashville location to take on the same position there.

Filling Dietsch’s position as GM of ADESA Memphis is Michael Schenks, who had been dealer sales manager at ADESA Sarasota.

“Dan has been instrumental in helping to transform our Memphis location into one of our fastest-growing auctions,” said ADESA president and chief executive officer Tom Caruso.

“He has consistently demonstrated the skill and knowledge necessary to manage a successful auction. I’m excited he has chosen to bring this expertise to another ADESA location.”

Dietsch’s first position with ADESA was as a general manager.  Before coming aboard at ADESA, his positions included an assistant general manager’s role for Manheim as well as several positions with ADT Auctions, including national inspection manager.

Before spending four years as dealer sales manager at ADESA Sarasota, Schenks was AutoNation’s used-vehicle director of North Florida.

“It was a pleasure to name Michael and Dan to these positions,” said Caruso. “Both are extremely knowledgeable about the markets in which they work. These are individuals who strive to make customers their top priority. I know that both ADESA Nashville and ADESA Memphis will thrive under their leadership.”
