Getting your kid registered for classes at college or registering a vehicle with the DMV is tricky enough.

CarMax Auctions wants to make registering for its weekly sales easy.

The wholesale auto auction operator revealed a new streamlined registration process Wednesday that’s designed to make it easier for car dealers to access its online sales.

The three-step process allows dealers to begin bidding within one business day of signing up, giving them “access to CarMax’s 100% online auctions from anywhere in the country,” the company said.

After they complete the application process on the CarMax Auctions website, dealers can start browsing inventory online while they wait for the application to be approved.

The three steps include the following, as listed in a news release:

  • Step 1: Create an Account – Use your AuctionACCESS ID to set up your account at CarMax Auctions.
  • Step 2: Provide Info – Complete additional information and upload tax information.
  • Step 3: Review & Submit – CarMax Auctions will quickly verify your information.

CarMax Auctions has revamped the auction registration process by utilizing real-time verification tools and a mobile-friendly interface.

“Registration should never be a barrier to doing business, so we’ve overhauled our process to give dealerships more of their most valuable asset: time,” said Matt Love, CarMax’s director of dealer services, in a news release.

“Removing friction points makes for a seamless and intuitive registration, empowering our partners to focus on what they do best — finding great cars for their customers.”
