PHOENIX -

As part of a deal announced this week, Dealers Auto Auction of the Southwest will offer a Carfax report with every vehicle at its weekly sales starting Feb. 2.

The reports will show red, yellow and green highlights on each car crossing the block and will be provided at no cost to buyers or consignors.

“This new program is a great tool in our arsenal of 360 Services which bridges the VHR gap between the wholesale and retail worlds,” said Jim DesRochers, auction vice president.

“It eliminates the arbitration issues on VHR reports, which are avoided under current association guidelines, and provides a transparent transaction on the wholesale level, driving auction credibility and repeat business.”

This is the latest enhancement to the 360 Service Program to which DesRochers refers. The auction made numerous upgrades to the program last year, including the Text Bidder Badge System to eliminate paper bidder badges and the Mexico Ready Vehicle service to improve the efficiency of export buying for customers.

“Providing as much information as possible to our buyers is essential to the auction process,” said general manager Stephanie Gingras.  “We have developed these enhancements to our 360 Service to supply the tools our customers need to make informed and confident purchases both in the lane and online.”
