EUGENE, Ore. -

A growing market trend regarding dealer consignment is at work at Brasher’s Northwest Auto Auction.

Brasher's 64th Anniversary Sale was held here on Sept. 25, with company officials noting that dealer consignment, which was on the rise through the summer months, is continuing to build even beyond a particularly strong showing at the anniversary sale event.

"We have been watching dealer consignments build here at the auction over the past several months," said general manager Mark Melton. "It signals a growing strength and diversity in the market, which benefits both buyers and sellers at Brasher's Northwest Auto Auction.

"We were delighted to record more than 400 dealer-consigned units at our anniversary celebration, from both used and new car dealers in the region, and hundreds of bidders in the lane who were eager to buy," he said.

The auction celebrated Brasher's 64th anniversary with a number of promotions throughout sale day. Featured consignors at the event included Crater Lake Ford Lincoln Mercury; Kiefer KIA; Hertz Car Sales; Capital One Auto Finance; Guaranty Chevrolet Pontiac; Automotive Rentals Inc.; Lithia Dodge Auto Group; and Exeter Finance Corp.

Brasher's Northwest is one of seven actions owned by the Brasher family, which founded its first auction in Salt Lake City in 1949; Brasher’s is a member of the ServNet Auction group.

Named the 2012 Auto Auction of the Year by NIADA, Brasher's Northwest is also a seven-time winner of ARI's Auction of the Year Award, a repeat winner of the Specialty Auction of the Year Award from both US Bank and Bank of America, and a two-time winner of Capital One's Auction of the Year Award for the Northwest Region.
