TORONTO -

Announced this week, Mercecdes-Benz Canada is honoring its top 10 performing dealers with the 2013 Star Dealer Awards.

This designation was established to "recognize the achievements of the top 10 authorized Mercedes-Benz dealers in Canada, underscoring the critical role that each dealership's contributions make to the overall success of the Mercedes-Benz brand in Canada," according to the company.

The Star Dealers are chosen from the company’s pan-Canadian retail network, the automaker explained further.

How are dealers graded?

Each recipient is determined based on their overall performance in five separate categories which include: new and pre-owned sales, service and parts and customer satisfaction.

Commenting on the awards, Tim Reuss, president and chief executive officer of Mercedes-Benz Canada, said, "It is imperative that our valued customers consistently receive an unparalleled sales and aftersales experience that is commensurate with the brand and its core values.

"I am extremely pleased to honor this year's Star Dealers and recognize their outstanding accomplishments. It was the most competitive race in our history, but these 10 dealers differentiated themselves from a truly exceptional group. I want to congratulate each one for setting a benchmark, and thank all of our dealers from coast to coast for their continued and unwavering commitment to excellence," he continued.
