FREDERICK, Md. -

The National Auto Auction Association recently announced that its Executive Committee, at the recommendation of the Dynamic Leadership Committee, has green-lighted a new instructional organization for the 2014 NAAA Dynamic Leadership Institute.

Set to conduct the annual two-day educational program this coming spring is the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Leadership Center.
The 2014 event will be held at a Washington, D.C., Ritz-Carlton hotel in April.

For the past two years, the event had been hosted by the Disney Institute in Orlando, Fla.

“This change will offer a fresh perspective and new experience to NAAA members who have enjoyed the Disney Institute’s courses, as well as help attract new participants,” said NAAA chief executive officer Frank Hackett.

“The Ritz Carlton Hotel Leadership Center provides a look at the philosophy, corporate culture, business practices and legendary service of the five-star luxury hotel company that sets the gold-standard for the hospitality industry worldwide,” he added.

In other recent news from NAAA, Hackett announced that changes to the arbitration and structural damage policies have been approved.

These changes will take effect on Sept. 1.

NAAA recounted that its auction standards committee received unanimous from the executive committee to move ahead with the revisions.

“This will be the first time these policies have been updated since Jan. 1, 2011,” Hackett said. “New arbitration and structural damage posters will be shipped to all member auctions in August.”
