Benjamin Scharf started a dealership at age 18, then spent the next seven years building Twin Cities Auctions before relaunching it as Remarket Space in 2024.
That platform, an online marketplace for used vehicles under $10,000, hit a major milestone last month: launching in its first market outside its home base of Minnesota.
Remarket Space announced this week that it is expanding to St. Louis and that it has redesigned its website and buying platform.
Each vehicle page on the platform includes average price data for comparable vehicles as well as a public sold vehicle archive, where browsers can see what similar cars sold for in the more than 5,000 sales that have occurred on Remarket Space.
Additionally, there is a “What’s wrong with it” section for each vehicle listing that shows know issues discovered by verified inspectors. Listings for running vehicles show a test-drive vehicle.
There is also a three-day major mechanical guarantee on eligible vehicles covering undisclosed engine, transmission, frame and flood problems.

“Buyers shopping under $10,000 have the least room for a mistake, and they usually get the least information,” said Scharf, the 25-year-old Remarket Space founder and CEO, in a news release.
“We’d rather show them what’s wrong with a car and what similar cars sold for than make them guess. The redesign organizes all of that in front of them before they decide.”
Why St. Louis? Remarket Space’s selling partners wanted the same service in that market, the company said.
Vehicles in the St. Louis market are inspected and stored by the company’s inspection and transport team in that market. They’re then sold on the same platform and live auctions as those in Minnesota.
Nationwide delivery is available.
Remarket Space said it has sold more than 15,000 vehicles to more than 33,000 registered bidders. Live auctions are held Monday through Friday at 7 p.m. (CT).
“St. Louis is our first step outside Minnesota,” Scharf said. “What we learn there will shape where we go next.”
