AUSTIN, Texas -

Texas Lone Star Auto Auction today announced the appointment of a new regional sales director for the company.

Named to the post, and with a career that has spanned more than 13 years in the remarketing industry, is Kelly McAllister.

McAllister most recently held assignments at a national auto auction, and during his career has held the roles of sales manager, promotions manager and customer support manager. His experience also includes 10 years as major account manager for the AutoNation group.

In his role at Texas Lone Star Auto Auction, McAllister will manage, direct and grow new and existing private-label auctions for the company, officials said.

The company said McAllister will be aided in developing and implementing strategic marketing plans toward growth by his educational background as well; he holds a bachelor of business administration degree in marketing from Texas Tech University.

“Kelly brings deep expertise in understanding clients’ increasing needs and how to deliver market-relevant innovation for customer satisfaction,” said Jeff Dunning, Texas Lone Star's general manager.

“His appointment will enable us to advance Texas Lone Star's unique position in the region’s market as a private-label sale innovator,” Dunning said.  

McAllister added, “Coming to work with an established company such as Texas Lone Star is truly an exciting opportunity. I look forward to appropriating my auction experience with passion and outstanding service to make a truly unique experience for all buyers and sellers in the private sale environment.”

Texas Lone Star Auto Auction, in business for more than 30 years, operates fixed and mobile Texas sites in Carrollton, Houston and Austin.
