Last week, the Westlake Financial Services Remarketing Department named its top auctions for 2012, with four locations taking home the honors.

The honorees are as follows:

Rawls Auto Auction (Leesville, S.C.) was named the Eastern Region Auction of the Year; Kansas City Independent Auto Auction (Kansas City, Mo.) takes top honors for the Midwest, and representing the top auction for the Western Region is ADESA Golden Gate (Tracy, Calif.).  

Additionally, ADESA Lexington (Lexington, Ky.) was named Top Service Auction for 2012.

The company explained that its auction grading model "encompasses various measures of sale and service strength to effectively gauge performance across their nationwide auction network."

Commenting on the news, Bill Walters, vice president of remarketing, said, "We are proud to recognize these auction partners for their superior efforts in 2012. “We have long-standing relationships with each and, together, we have fostered a strong and consistent buyer base and a dynamic environment to remarket our inventory in an ever-changing market place."

Westlake execs also offered comments on the individual auctions’ performances.

Rawls Auto Auction:

Dirk Grammel, Westlake Regional auction rep, noted, "Rawls is consistent in providing top notch service to dealers and vehicle providers.  Each department is extremely diligent in satisfying customers for repeat business."

Kansas City Independent Auto Auction:

"Kansas City Independent continues to exceed our expectations in all possible ways,” Grammel said.  “They are constantly ahead of the game.  Their staff treats every customer as if they were the only customer and the proof is in the sales results."

ADESA Golden Gate:

Steve Gunsberger, Westlake Regional auction rep, said "ADESA Golden Gate has shown a drive for excellence in servicing our account.  Their proactive approach is an essential quality in being at the top of our rankings.  They have created an environment of excitement in marketing and selling our cars."

ADESA Lexington

Ryan Twigg, Westlake Regional Auction Rep, commented, "ADESA Lexington sets the bar for servicing our account.  They take it as a professional and personal challenge to go ‘above and beyond’ sale after sale."
