LAKELAND, Fla. -

Before Wednesday, Carvana already had a strong presence in Florida. That presence got even stronger as the company announced it would expand in central Florida, offering as-soon-as-next-day vehicle delivery to Lakeland and North Port.

Carvana founder and chief executive officer Ernie Garcia said in a news release that some of the company’s earliest markets were in Florida and that residents of the state were some of the earliest adopters of “The New Way to Buy a Car.”

“We are confident that Lakeland and North Port area residents will join them and welcome the transparency and ease of buying their next car online,” Garcia said.

With the Lakeland and North Port launches, Carvana now offers as-soon-as-next-day vehicle delivery in seven Florida markets and 131 markets across the United States.

The Florida announcement follows activity from the company in May, which included launches in Maryland, Virginia  and Wisconsin.
