TAMPA, Fla. -

After announcing earlier this week it entered the Denver market, ecommerce platform for buying used cars Carvana revealed Thursday it has also launched its newest car vending machine in Tampa, Fla.

The automated, coin-operated marching is eight stories high and holds up to 32 vehicles. This is the company’s second car vending machine in Florida, and the eighth in the country. Carvana also has machines in the Texas markest of Houston, Austin, San Antonio and Dallas, as well as in Nashville; Raleigh, N.C.; and Jacksonville, Fla.

Carvana first launched in the Tampa market in 2016.

“Just two years ago, we launched the new way to buy a car in Tampa, with free, as-soon-as-next-day vehicle delivery,” said Ernie Garcia, founder and chief executive officer of Carvana. “In that short time, our company and our employees have received a warm welcome from the community, so we’re excited to debut our newest Car Vending Machine in Tampa.”

Carvana customers have access to as-soon-as-next-day vehicle delivery, or car vending machine pickup, and their choice of the 10,000 vehicles the company stocks.  

After picking up their pre-owned ride from the vending machine, Carvana explained customers have seven days to test-own the vehicle; and if they aren’t satisfied, they can return it for a full refund. All vehicles in Carvana’s inventory are Carvana Certified, meaning they have passed an 150-point inspection.

The Tampa, Fla., vending machine is located at 10335 Palm River Road, and is open Monday through Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
