ATLANTA -

Flexdrive announced Wednesday that the Florida Fine Cars dealerships will be using the car subscription and technology provider’s platform for its AmeriDrive vehicle subscription service in South Florida.

The program will be available at the independent dealership’s four stores in Hollywood, Margate, Miami and West Palm Beach.

Flexdrive, led by chief executive Jose Puente, is a joint venture between Cox Automotive and global fleet management company ARI. Its technology gives dealers and fleet owners an avenue to enter the mobile device-based, on-demand vehicle subscription market.

According to its website, Flexdrive is available in Atlanta; Austin, Texas; Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas; Philadelphia/New Jersey; and the four Florida locations included with this move.

“Buying a car should be simple, but it is instead often seen as stressful and a hassle,” Florida Fine Cars co-owner Ramin Farahmand said in a news release. “People need an alternative that puts their minds at ease and gives them options. Car subscription fits that need and Flexdrive was the clear partner to help our business continue to evolve and grow, while also reaching existing customers and new consumers in a different, compelling way.”

Added Puente, the Flexdrive CEO: “Florida Fine Cars is a progressive dealership and constantly thinking about how best to evolve to meet consumer demand, while also moving toward mobility and the future of the automotive industry. The launch of AmeriDrive points straight to the forward-thinking that’s core to their business.

“A car subscription program is truly an ah-hah moment for dealerships when you consider its advantages: recurring monthly revenue, enhanced CSI scores and customer retention as well as more options for consumers with changing needs.”
