J.D. Power has unveiled that the Porsche 911 model has the highest rating on its JDPower.com 100-Point Score ranking, which is based on several thousand verified car owner experiences.
The company announced Friday that the latest review of its consumer insight study collection shows that the Porsche 911 is the highest-rated 2018 model year vehicle listed on its site.
“With nearly 600 models receiving a score of 81 or higher, car shoppers can find a high-quality vehicle on JDPower.com that suits their wants and needs,” J.D. Power consumer division vice president Troy Snyder said in a news release. “In addition to the rating scores, car shoppers can see which vehicles won a J.D. Power award by segment, so they can rest assured that they’re making a wise purchase decision,” he said.
The Porsche 911 received a score of 94 points. With 93 points, this year’s second highest ranked model is the Genesis G90, followed by the Mercedes-Benz S-Class model (92) and the Lincoln Continental (92, as well).
Scores are based on vehicle depreciation, reviews, awards, dealership ratings and verified feedback from car owners in areas such as quality, dependability and performance, according to J.D. Power.

J.D. Power’s collection of consumer insight data is sourced from studies such as the company’s Vehicle Dependability Study (VDS), Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI), Initial Quality Study (IQS), Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) study and Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI).
Moreover, in addition to J.D. Power’s popular 100-Point Score, new this year is the site’s recently launched series of Red Blade Ratings, which can also provide a convenient look into the vehicle data regarding several different touchpoints.
