CBT News and Cherokee Media Group today announced a new media and content partnership surrounding Used Car Week 2026, taking place Nov. 16–19 at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego.

The partnership brings together one of the automotive industry’s leading used-vehicle events with CBT News’ dealer-focused media platform to expand coverage and extend the conversations taking place at Used Car Week to a broader audience of automotive professionals.

As part of the partnership, CBT News will provide cross-promotional support for Used Car Week, conduct exclusive interviews with dealers, executives, speakers and industry leaders, and bring its CBT Live broadcast to the event. CBT News will also co-host or moderate a panel session during Used Car Week, providing its dealer-focused perspective on the issues shaping the used-vehicle business.

Behind the partnership

Used Car Week has become a leading gathering for executives and professionals across the used-vehicle ecosystem, bringing together leaders from automotive retail, remarketing, auto finance, technology, investment and other areas of the industry.

For CBT News, the partnership provides an opportunity to take the conversations happening at Used Car Week beyond the event itself and deliver them to dealers through live programming, video interviews, digital content, newsletters and social media.

“Used Car Week is exactly the kind of event where some of the most important conversations in automotive retail are happening,” said Jim Fitzpatrick, Co-Founder of CBT News. “Our audience wants to hear directly from the executives, dealers and innovators who are shaping the industry. Partnering with Cherokee Media Group allows us to take those conversations from San Diego and bring them directly to our dealer audience through CBT Live and our other content platforms.”

Why CBT News?

CBT News has built its platform around delivering the news, commentary and actionable insights that help dealership professionals navigate an increasingly complex automotive retail environment.

Its audience includes dealer principals, general managers and managers across virtually every department of the dealership. Through its Used Car Week coverage, CBT News will give its audience an inside look at the event while creating access to the people and ideas driving the used-vehicle industry.

The partnership will include:

  • CBT Live from Used Car Week, featuring live discussions and interviews from the event.
  • Exclusive interviews with dealers, executives, speakers and industry leaders.
  • On-location video coverage highlighting the people, ideas and issues driving the used-car industry.
  • Participation on a Used Car Week panel, bringing CBT News’ dealer-focused perspective to the event stage.
  • Cross-promotion across CBT News and Cherokee Media Group channels before, during and after the event.

“CBT News has developed a strong connection with the dealer community, and that makes them a natural partner for Used Car Week,” said Bill Zadeits, President of Cherokee Media Group. “Our goal has always been to create an event where the industry can come together, share ideas, build relationships and move the business forward. Working with CBT News gives us another way to extend those conversations and connect the insights from Used Car Week with dealers across the country.”

Looking ahead

The partnership comes at a time when used-vehicle operations continue to evolve rapidly, with dealers navigating changes in inventory strategy, profitability, sourcing, digital retailing, artificial intelligence, reconditioning, finance and consumer expectations.

By combining Cherokee Media Group’s event platform and deep expertise in the used-car market with CBT News’ dealer audience and content capabilities, the partnership is designed to amplify the industry’s most important conversations and deliver them to dealers wherever they consume content.

“The value of an event like Used Car Week shouldn’t end when attendees leave San Diego,” said Bridget Fitzpatrick, Co-Founder of CBT News. “There will be hundreds of conversations throughout the week that can help dealers solve problems, identify opportunities and prepare for what’s next. Our role is to capture those conversations and make sure those insights reach the broader dealer community.”
