TROLLHATTAN, Sweden –
Saab Automobile announced last week that it tapped an executive from Lindab Group, a Swedish company providing products and systems for the construction industry, to be its new chief financial officer.
Taking on the role is Nils-Johan Andersson, who the automaker says has more than 20 years of experience in corporate finance, financial planning, accounting and executive management.
The OEM pointed out that during his tenure at Lindab where Andersson also served as CFO, he built up extensive experience in working for a public company. Saab believes that experience is going to be vital since it was bought by Amsterdam-listed Spyker Cars NV of the Netherlands.
At Lindab, Andersson also oversaw a major review of the company’s cost structure that increased efficiency and improved profitability.
Now with the automaker, Andersson will be based at Saab’s headquarters in Trollhättan, Sweden, where he will report directly to chief executive officer and president Jan Åke Jonsson.
“I am delighted to welcome Nils-Johan to our senior management team,” Jonsson stated. “His experience and skills will be great assets to Saab Automobile as we continue to establish ourselves as a successful independent company.”

Andersson, 48, takes over from Karl Lindström, who served as interim CFO.
“We wish Karl all the best and thank him for his contributions during his time with Saab Automobile,” Jonsson noted.
