LOS ANGELES -

CarDomain.com, a social networking website for vehicle enthusiasts, recently expanded its online offerings by creating what officials are describing as a new community blogging site.

The purpose of Autoholics.com is to give users with a CarDomain profile the chance to blog about several topics, including project cars, car shows and motorsports involvement, in addition to parts installation tutorials and new products. The blog tools also can help users post industry news and videos from throughout the world.

CarDomain.com explained this user-generated blog and newsfeed was created specifically for its community, and contributions are selected and edited by the Autoholics.com professional editorial staff before being published to the site.

Since going live at the end of October, Autoholics.com has published more than 300 posts by more than 60 CarDomain.com members. Site officials pointed out that contributors have come from the U.S., Canada, South Africa, Australia and the Philippines.

“Autoholics contributions are varied and lively, just like our members,” insisted Glenn Rogers, chief executive officer of CarDomain.com.

“The content makes for interesting reading — ranging from a few words and a video to feature-length articles and excellent photo galleries,” Rogers continued. “The material reflects our members’ broad interests and it’s great to provide a place where they can easily publish stories on topics that move them.”

Because of the diversity of knowledge and background represented within the CarDomain.com membership, officials also believe Autoholics.com content is unique in the automotive space.

“Gearheads always want to talk with other gearheads,” stressed editor in chief Rob Einaudi. “Autoholics provides a great way for CarDomain members to connect, show off and reach a sizable online audience with their expertise and experiences.

“Autoholics contributions have ramped up very quickly, and the community seems to be taking to this new outlet for sharing news and knowledge and connecting with other enthusiasts,” Einaudi added.

Contributed content as well as coverage of the 2010 SEMA Show, the LA International Auto Show and new vehicle test-drive reviews can be found at autoholics.com.
