LAS VEGAS -

The National Independent Automobile Dealers Association’s Convention & Expo has officially kicked off, and today’s action brings a host of sessions hitting everything from the regulatory arena to the buy-here, pay-here market to F&I.

The day was set to begin with the convention’s opening session — “Feel Unstoppable in 60 minutes” — followed by a general session on “The Legislative/Regulatory Scene — An Update for the Industry.”

After a lunch session from 11:30 a.m. PST to 1 p.m. —  titled “Closing the Gap Between You and Lawmakers —  the schedule continues with concurrent breakout sessions that include the following topics:
 

  • “Know Your State and Federal Labor Laws”
  • “Avoiding the Potholes—A BHPH Dealer’s Perspective”
  • How to Hire, Fire and Keep the Best”
  • “Tracking Devices—A BHPH Essential???”
  • "Hello, I’m Your Federal Regulator, and I’m Here to do a Compliance Audit"
  • “Sales Team Practices That Will Land You in Court”
  • “The ‘Direct From Consumer’ Inventory Acquisition Opportunity”
  • “Is My F&I Bullet Proof?"

The day will wrap with the Expo Grand Opening and dinner.

On Wednesday, the action continues with more presentations and workshops, including six more breakout sessions offered, the national leadership awards banquet and more.

Some of the topics on tap for Wednesday include "Sure Signs for Sales: CPO and the VAK Formula;" "BHPH Sales: Make Everybody Happy;" and "Repos, Collections, Bankruptcies — A Legal Perspective," plus much more. Thursday’s lineup includes a host of sessions and events, as well.
